Our Goal:

To breed and raise good quality, close-working dogs with a strong desire to hunt and with natural pointing and retrieving abilities. 

Stein Creek Miss Pepper is a black/white with heavy ticking.  She is medium size with a super nose,strong hunting desire,a solid pointer and natural retriever. This is the dog that started it all for Stein Creek Shorthairs. A little black and white pup that grew into a super little pheasant hunter,and taught us what pheasant hunting was all about. She is my personal  gundog, and sometimes house companion . OFA Good

Pepper's Pedigree

 Nitro is everything that we hoped he would be. He is a close working, steady hunter.  He has a good nose and has learned to use the air or track on the ground.   He is a staunch pointer and naturally backs and retrieves.  As predicted he  has  kept  getting better and better. In 2009 Nitro was DNA certified by the AKC. His AKC DNA # is V583064.

 His pups have turned out to be everything that we have hoped. They're showing the same characteristics as their father. He has produced the look, confirmation, and hunting ability that is Nitro. These characteristics have proven themselves  to be what any foot hunter or person in need of a companion is looking for. The feedback from owners of his pups have been nothing but positive.  His pups have the same laid back disposition at home, and can turn it on in the field . What more could you want in a bird dog? Nitro is my personal gun dog as well as Tyler's, and  is everybody's buddy as soon as they meet him. Words can't describe this dog, and what he has done for us as a hunting partner,and now as a litter sire.
