We have been so lucky to have our offspring go to such wonderful homes. We want to thank all of our new friends for welcoming a Stein Creek Morgan into their families.
This is Darcy with Star and Mac.
Ranger was our first Stein Creek Morgan foal ('99). He is out of Polka Dot Queen FD (who now belongs to our sister-in-law, Bekki) and Lawman Tanner FD. He and his matched brother, Stein Creek Rocky, live with Janet and Wayne in IL as a driving team. Wildie was the first of our three '00 foals. She is out of Libby and Tanner. As with Libby's foals, Wildfire was blessed with a wonderful disposition and a willing attitude. She now lives in KY with our new friends Tillie McDonald, Pam and daughter, shown in the picture. Tillie is doing a wonderful job with Wildfire!! We really appreciate the updates we get from Tillie from time to time. It's great to know they are doing well.
This little beauty was the first golden cross of Donna and Tanner's born '00. Because of her size and mental maturity, we were able to start her under saddle for her new owner, Kim from MO, in '02. Kim and DW made an excellent team!
Rocky is the matched brother to Ranger. Both brothers (shown in pic) were a deep chestnut with just a small star. Rocky was sold before we could start him in harness but from Janet and Wayne's last email, they tell us this is the best driving team they've had yet. Wayne and Janet are from IL. We were so pleased the brothers got to stay together as we knew they could be quite a team.
Thunder is Libby and Tanner's '01 colt. He was quite a guy. He was trained to ride and drive in '03 as a stallion. Only gelded in Fall of '03 because we didn't have room to keep another stallion. He was always ready for his picture to be taken. He remains here in IA with Lynn who wanted a driving horse. We hope they are getting along well together.
In loving memory of Codey May 21, 2002 - Sept 15, 2002.
Although a short life, he is fondly remembered. He was big at birth and very handsome. He was a bright chestnut with a perfect star. He was out of Libby and Spring Hills KCL. He truly was perfect in every way.
Another golden cross by Donna & Tanner.
April was born during a snow storm in April of '03. (Only in Iowa.) School was cancelled that day because of the snow. My daughters were able to be there when she was born and videotaped the blessed event. She was also imprinted by them. Needless to say, she was a family favorite from the start. This little lady couldn't take a bad picture.
We want to congratulate Betsy Bonynge from Melena Morgans located in Turlock CA for the purchase of this fine filly. We are confident she is a great addition to her breeding progam.
Payton was a fun guy to have around. Very friendly and always looking to get into mischief. You couldn't do anything with the horses without his involvement .
He is Snap and Tanner's '03 colt, born the day before the 4th of July. He has such a promising future ahead of him. We know that Marcia and Joe Goins of Cross Plains TN will achieve that potential. We want to thank Marcia for sending us this picture of Payton. We love to see how our Stein Creek foals mature. And obviously he is maturing quite nicely.
Lawman Tanner FD x Regenbogen Sassy Tax Time
2004 was a busy year for us. We were lucky to get 4 beautiful healthy foals. The first of which was Star. A little shy at first, this filly became one of the friendliest of the four. She is an extremely balanced and well put together little filly.
We want to congratulate Ben and Amanda Pearce of Grinnell, IA on their purchase of wonderful little filly.
Lawman Tanner FD x Donna's Fairytale ('04)
This is such a nice mellow mannered gelding. He is expected to mature to 15+ hh. As with Donna's foals, he has size and intelligence. Mac handles new adventures with calm curiousity. His potential is limitless.
We congratulate Deb from IN on her selection for a riding horse. We are sure they will enjoy covering many trails together.
Lawman Tanner FD x Amendment Liberty ('04)
As with Libby's babies, we can count on a friendly, easy to be around foal. Belle was no exception. We are quite proud that Ben and Amanda Pearce of Grinnell IA chose Belle and Star to be a part of their growing Morgan farm. The potential is certainly there to be very successful.
Lawman Tanner FD x SKM One Sweet Dream ('04)
This guy has been a pistol from the get-go. He has the appearance of being "on fire" with every step he takes. With his grandsire being the great driving horse, Christmas Hymn, we are confident Nic will make an excellent pleasure driving prospect as well as trail horse. He is going to make Susan quite a horse!
Kells Memorial Day Casanova x Regenbogen Sassy Tax Time ('05)
Stein Creek Satar is the first of our Cass foals born May of '05. Satar is blk w/star. We are quite pleased with all of Cass' foals. Satar now lives in FL. Susan is doing a fantastic job with him getting ready for the day she will be able to ride him. Susan and Satar are making a great team with a mutual respect for eachother.
Donna's Fairytale x Kells Memorial Day Casanova ('05)
Charmer is his barn name and he fits it very well. He is a true gentleman. Charmer and Satar were born on the same day. What a wonderful way
to see what Cass can produce for us! Charmer has made a home just down the road from our farm. We couldn't be happier. We get to watch this handsome horse grow before our eyes. And grow.. and grow and grow. He is already topping 15 hh and he's not even close to being done. Sheri, you are doing such a good job with him.
Kells MemorialDayCasanova x Amendment Liberty ('05)
Libby has proven that it doesn't matter the stallion. She can produce wonderful foals. Lilly is no exception. This Cass / Libby cross will be repeated in the near future. Lilly will make Sherri a wonderful little horse. And a pedigree to get her breeding program off to a great start.
Kells MemorialDayCasanova x SKM One Sweet Dream ('05)
This is such a pretty filly. We can't wait to see her as she matures. Sherri has assured us that she will keep us informed. She has beauty, elegance, and a pedigree like none other. The best is yet to come.
Kells MemorialDayCasanova x Regenbogen Sassy Tax Time (06)
Jasper is a favorite of mine. He had some trouble in the beginning which only bonded him to us even more. He is very mellow mannered and trusts whatever you throw his way. We are confident that Sherri from WY is going to have a fine trail horse in Jasper someday. She will keep us posted and hopefully I can update his picture.
Lawman Tanner FD x Amendment Liberty ('06)
Taz is quite a guy. He tries to be full of himself but his curiosity gets the best of him. He was born on 06/06/06 which may explain everything... Taz
is turning into a beauty. He is a medium but bright chestnut with a very nice star. His mane and tail may be turning flaxen. We will have to wait and see. He is taller than Tanner and Libby usually produce so it may be safe to say he will be 15 hh. He has the potential for riding and / or driving. See more of Taz on the for sale page.
