Stein Creek Maxamillion

As many of you know, Lyle retained one of Pepper's puppies from her '06 litter sired by Dixieland's Rockin' Dirks. This was a necessary step for us as it was important to know that Pepper's puppies are as natural hunters as she is. And from the emails we are receiving, these pups are natural, eager hunters, Max was no exception. Please see Max's journey below. This folks, is what it is all about.

Here is puppy #4 shortly after birth.	Here he is at about 1 month old.	Puppy #4 ,now known as Max, is retrieving a wing	Here you see him pointing. this is at about 8 wks of age. This comes very naturally.

Here he is holding a very nice point.	Max is now about 6 mths old.	Max is learning how to back the others. You can see that he's on a check cord.	And it all naturally comes together. Here Pepper is backing Max.

It's equally important for Max to be able to hunt alone.	Here he is with his full sister Zoe (puppy #1). She too is a natural hunter.	Max is now on his own and is an independent, confident hunter.	He still has some growing to do but really looking good at just over a year.

He is looking pretty solid in this picture.	Our dogs love the water!	And this is what it's all about. If you can't see it, that's a pheasant hanging out of his mouth.	And you have one happy hunter! Picture is blurry cause I think the trainer/owner is equally as excited.

2008 Pups

Max was sold as a started pup. He remains in Iowa to continue hunting and finish growing up. This was an important step for us. It was important to know that Pepper's puppies are as natural of hunters as she is. And Max was/is. And from the feedback we are getting from the other puppy owners, they have been just as fortunate.

Max is a neutered male. He was not heavily ticked. He is simply a German Shorthair with a desire to be a wonderful hunter. We wish Max and his new owner much luck in the field.

It is equally exciting to announce the arrival of Pepper's 2008 litter. These puppies are sired by our own male, Stein Creek TJs Nitro. Nitro is a hardworking hunter. He is as natural as Pepper is. We are confident this litter will be as strong of hunters as their sire and dam.
