It is with much reluctance that we now offer all of our morgan horses for sale.  It is a combination of reasons of which many of you are probably experiencing, hay prices, gas prices, and lack of time due to working more to pay for hay and gas.... It's a never-ending cycle.  But this is an opportunity for some of you to get some rich old-style breeding at fair prices.  We are very proud of our foundation stock and know that whoever takes advantage of our decision will greatly benefit.

Taz is a character.  As you can see he loves to "strut his stuff"!  He is a very elegant mover, nice extension, good balance.  He is a repeat breeding of Tanner and Libby so we know that we can expect great things.  Taz should mature to about 15.hh.  We'll have a better idea in time.  He is a beautiful bright chestnut.  He has had the basic handling with hoof trimming, tieing, clipping etc.  He handles this well. 

This colt is very reasonabley priced.  His price will increase with training.  We expect him to just keep getting better and better!  I usually don't get too excited with yearlings but this guy has really caught my eye and the eyes of our visitors.

This is probably our toughest decision.  But if you are attempting to sell a majority of your mares, you don't need two stallions.  Tanner has definitely proven himself as a producer of wonderful foals.  We have had several of his offspring and cannot fault a one of them.  They each come into the world big, healthy and ready to show off.  Tanner adds a bit of spunk to his foals that make them enjoyable to watch.  They are usually friendly and given the opportunity, easy to start in training.  Tanner is of the old-style breeding, the true morgan spirit.  We feel it's time to give someone else the opportunity to add some of his bloodline to your program.  He comes from some honest lines such as WAR & Caduceus to name a few.  Below is his pedigree.

Tanner rides and drives, always willing to move out.  He has been trail ridden with mares.  Tanner has a western jog that is balanced and steady.  It's hard to find his bottom.

Cass has given us many wonderful years of enjoyment and many fine foals.  It is with much reluctance that we now offer this fine stallion for sale.  You won't find them much better than this big black guy.  He is very sweet and easy to be around.  This gentle giant stands approx 15.2 hh.  His pedigree would make him a wonderful addition to the traditional morgan who wants to add a little size.  Cass is the grandson of Caduceus Casanova and Kennebec Count.  It truely doesn't get much better than that.

Cass is trained to ride and drive.  Lyle can ride Cass with his hunting dogs dodging in and out of the ditches and brush.  He is as solid as they come!  This horse is probably one of the prettiest you will ever see.  He has that gorgeous morgan head with the foxy ears and big, kind eye.  Cass has an abundance of long, curly mane and tail.  He is easy to bathe, load, hoofwork, you name it, you can do it.  He just has an exceptional personality.

Our newest listing is our faithful trail horse, Amendment Liberty.  This is an exceptional mare who has taught both of my girls to ride and is currently my riding horse.  She is always willing to load and head out.  She is such a pleasant mare to be around.  She is 1/2 Lippitt which I think gives her that extraordinary people personality.  Libby is so easy to clip, bathe, and do farrier work.  They don't get much better than this one.  Not to say she won't give you a little attitude from time to time but she is a mare...  Libby is a very easy keeper.  She is easy to get in foal and has very sociable foals.  They are easy to train and turn into wonderful family horses as is she.  Libby has been left open as we do not need more mouths to feed. You can purchase her with a breeding package to one of our stallions if you want.  She has produced fine foals with either of our stallions.  You can view Libby's pedigree on the mare page and see her past foals.  This is an exceptional trail horse!  Take advantage before I change my mind.

Snap is such a beautiful Morgan.  She is the true morgan horse in conformation.  She has produced some exceptional foals, it doesn't matter which stallion we use.  We hope she can continue producing wonderful morgan foals in her future as her bloodline and beauty would add to any breeding program. 

Snap can be ridden and/or driven.  She requires a competent handler.  She has been ridden by my daughter.  She is an easy keeper, easy breeder, all around good horse.  She is the boss mare but not at all a bully.  She's actually a very good babysitter. 

Snap's sire is the great driving horse Christmas Hymn.  It would truely be hard to see this one go.

*** NEWS *** Snap is being leased for the '08 - '09 breeding season by Oldfield Morgans from Waltham MA.  The goal will be to get her in foal to UVM Jubilant. 

She will be offered for sale once again once this lease has expired.

This 8 yr old western working bred mare is open again this year.  This may or may not be a problem.  Therefore her price has been reduced.  She is now priced the same as a good trained gelding. 

Sassy has been well started under saddle and driving.  She steps out nicely and is a very forward moving mare.  She has a road trot like no other!  She requires a patient competent handler. Click below to view her pedigree.

We would like to introduce you to Maddie.  We love this cross.  It produces beauty and brain.  This filly has some nice long legs under her and Cass typically produces 15+ hh foals so we expect the same of Maddie.  She is bold in presence and very elegant in movement.  The potential is limitless as both Cass and Snap are wonderful riding and driving horses.  This filly would also be an excellent addition to any traditional morgan breeding program.  Her grandsire is the great Christmas Hymn and great grandsire is Kennebec Count.  I see a bright future for this filly.

She has become so friendly, loving the attention we shower upon her.  This just indicates that she will be easy to introduce new things to.  She is a joy to be around.

Lawman Tanner FD x SKM One Sweet Dream    (Foaled 7/04)

 Nic is a grandson of the great pleasure driving champion, Christmas Hymn.  Even though he has the potential to be a pleasure driving horse, Nic has found his mark - trail riding.

Nic has been hitting the trails this spring '07.  Whether it be behind Lyle's bird dogs or on the trail alone, he has proven to be ready for anything.  He is very willing and moves out with no hesitation.  Although only 3 he shows maturity and confidence beyond his years.  You can ride a lot of horses and you know when you've got a good one.  This one is a good one.
